Since its inception, the Greenway has been a leader in supporting the local community!
Since the toll road opened in 1996, Toll Road Investors Partnership II, L.P. (TRIP II), owners of the Dulles Greenway, has had a long-standing commitment to the community's welfare.
The Dulles Greenway Citizenship Award
From the beginning, TRIP II provided funding for local youth sports teams, elementary school fundraisers, and high school graduation events. But in 2000, TRIP II established the annual Dulles Greenway Citizenship Award, a scholarship to assist graduating seniors from Loudoun County public high schools. The Dulles Greenway Citizenship Award was designed to commend & reward those students who consistently reflect excellence in character, and who have demonstrated their leadership skills by making a positive contribution to the community.
How to Apply:
This is the 8th year the Greenway has offered this scholarship, and we’ve increased the amount awarded by $1,000 every year. This year we’ll be awarding 12 $1,000 scholarships. The Dulles Greenway is delighted to offer these scholarships to outstanding high school seniors each year. In this way, we’re able to give back to the community, and express our appreciation to the thousands of residents of Loudoun County who travel the Greenway each day.
