The Dulles Greenway is a major transportation artery serving Northern Virginia…and is being improved & expanded on a regular, planned basis
Special Note:
All construction projects are financed by Toll Road Investors Partnership, II, L.P. (TRIP II), owner of the Dulles Greenway. No public tax funding is used for these projects…all funding is secured by bonds supported by toll revenue.
Construction Projects Completed in 2009:
- Pavement Resurfacing
This project was scheduled for the spring and summer of 2009, and consisted of replacement of the top layer of pavement along with the necessary milling of the roadway in both directions…between the mainline Plaza and Claiborne Parkway. Paving began in May of 2009 and should took approximately six weeks to complete. The project was completed by of June 30th at a cost of $2.65 million. - Dulles Airport Ramp
Construction of a dedicated ramp from the eastbound lanes of the Dulles Greenway to Dulles International Airport began in April 2009 the dedicated ramp opens on June 30th 2009.
